PRAKTIKUM KHAT IMLA’ PADA MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS ISLAM NEGERI MATARAM JURUSAN ILMU AL-QUR’AN DAN TAFSIR FAKULTAS USHULUDDIN DAN STUDI AGAMA

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Imla' Calligraphy practicum conducted by students at the State Islamic University of Mataram, particularly in the Department of Qur'anic Sciences and Interpretation within the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Religious Studies. The research method employed involves observation of the practicum activities and the analysis of related primary data. The findings indicate that the Imla' Calligraphy practicum plays a crucial role in developing the Quranic writing skills of students, providing direct experience and empowerment in mastering these skills. It contributes to the enhancement of aesthetic awareness and the beauty of calligraphy, serving as a means of applying the Imla' Calligraphy theory. This is especially significant for students in the Department of Qur'anic Sciences and Interpretation, who are expected not only to read, translate, and interpret the Qur'an but also to write it proficiently as preparation for a future career in religious studies. The implications of this research are expected to contribute positively to the implementation of Imla' Calligraphy practicum in the relevant academic environment.
