PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN

Abstract

Curriculum development is a comprehensive term, which includes planning, implementation and evaluation. Curriculum planning is the first step in building a curriculum when curriculum workers make decisions and take action to produce plans that will be used by teachers and students. Therefore it is the teacher who holds the key to actual implementation, assessment and curriculum development. A curriculum is expected to provide a foundation, content, and guidance for the optimal development of student abilities in accordance with the guidance and challenges of community development. There are two fields of psychology that underlie curriculum development, namely (1) developmental psychology and (2) learning psychology, although in reality curriculum development there are several obstacles such as: lack of teacher participation, community, time, lack of conformity of opinion (both between fellow teachers and principals and administrator). But on the other hand there are several models in curriculum development that can be applied, namely: the Tyler model and the Zais Model.
