PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH TERHADAP MOTIVASI KERJA GURU DI SMK BABUSSALAM JEROWARU KABUPATEN LOMBOK TIMUR NTB

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the leadership style (directive, participatory, consultative, delegative) of school principals on teacher work motivation at SMK Babussalam Jerowaru Lotim NTB. The number of samples in this study amounted to 35 teachers, the type of research used was associative cause and effect (causal) and the data collection tool used was a questionnaire containing leadership style (directive, participatory, consultative, delegative) and work motivation. The results showed that leadership style simultaneously (directive, participatory, consultative, delegative) had a significant influence on teacher work motivation at SMK Babussalam Jerowaru Lotim NTB, while partially the consultative and delegative leadership styles were not significant. Participatory leadership style is the dominant variable that influences the work motivation of teachers at Babussalam Jerowaru Lotim Vocational School in NTB. This means that there is a strong unidirectional relationship where the free change that occurs is free namely Directive Leadership Style (X1), Consultative Leadership Style (X2), Participatory Leadership Style (X3) and Delegative Leadership Style (X4) accompanied by changes in the increase in bound factors namely work motivation (Y). From the results of the study it was found that the participatory leadership style factor was the dominant free factor influencing the bound factor namely work motivation at SMK Babussalam Jerowaru, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
